IA, the Ileostomy and Internal Pouch Support Group (formerly known as the Ileostomy Association of Great Britain and Ireland), is a mutual support group which has the primary aim of helping people who have had their colon removed. The IA website can be reached here:

Red Lion Group

The Red Lion Group is a UK pouch support charity for people who have, or are considering having, an ileo-anal pouch. The pouch support group was founded in 1994 by a group of patients and staff at St. Mark’s Hospital in London and gained charitable status in 1997. The Red Lion website can be reached here:

Occtopus (Oxford Colon Cancer Trust)

Formed in 2003, the Oxford Colon Cancer Trust aims to fund practical advances in treatment, education, and research in these areas – the 3 “C’s”: Colorectal cancer, Colitis and Crohns, and Continence. The Occtopus website can be reached here:

The Kingston Trust

The Kingston Trust CIO (KT) is a registered charitable Trust whose aim is to provide assistance to ileostomists and those with an ileo-anal pouch aged 16 years and over experiencing temporary or long term financial hardship. The Kingston Trust website can be reached here:
